The Alpaca Breeders Fiber School is dedicated to promoting excellence in the alpaca industry. Success in the alpaca livestock industry, and for individual breeders comes from a comprehensive understanding of the alpaca, breeding and reproductive knowledge, herd management, nutrition and fiber. ABFS courses are designed to equip the alpaca livestock breeder with the knowledge and tools needed to understand the inter-relationship of these factors to affect a successful agricultural business. ABFS courses have been created with the serious alpaca breeder in mind. Curriculums are designed to educate breeders on the highest standards of alpaca breeding, market trends and history, animal husbandry and fiber evaluation expertise – all to equip the breeder to compete well in the marketplace. Pastoral Profits is an active participant in ABFS: attending classes, subscribing to their philosophy (stated above), and supporting their demand for total honesty in all dealings with all animals and people. |
