Alpaca Sales, Alpaca Breeders, Alpaca Fibers | Pastoral Profits Alpacas

About Us

Pastoral Profits in a North American alpaca partnership.

We are Sandi and Bob Nesbit and we're in partnership with our children, brothers and friends. We manage the herd on our SW Michigan farm we call Front Porch Farm. We used to say we're a small farm but we've grown and now I guess you'd call us medium sized. Nevertheless, we still strive to give tender loving care to alpacas and their owners in the same way we did when our alpacas numbered in the single digits.

We thank you for visiting our web sit and invite you to call or better yet come by our farm so we can show you our alpacas first hand. From Bob and Sandi....and all our family...WELCOME. Please feel free to call or stop by our Michigan farm any time. To learn more about us and view all of our alpacas click here

We used to make at least a phone call to the vet for nearly every birth. Now we do more and more of the birthing, caring for the new-born, and for mom, even for some of the more difficult births. We've found that the most important thing we can do or know about is the particularities of each and every alpaca.

SANDI not only lives the alpaca life, as editor of the Alpaca Life column on AlpacaStreet she writes about it. It's a monthly column that shares stories of the alpaca life from all over the country. We invite you to visit AlpacaStreet (www.alpacastreet.com), check out the site and her column, and if you have a story to share give Sandi a call @ 269-697-4752.

BOB is always on hand to help out with the new babies, but what he really enjoys is just being out in the pasture with them. And...as you can see...they seem to like to have him there. Bob also writes the sales tips that are published by the AOBA Marketing Committee. With his background in business and sales he can help you plan yours. You can reach Bob at the same number or by using the contact information on this site.

Abby, our livestock guardian dog, is always on the alert helping to keep our herd safe.
We started out with three acres, one barn, an old chicken coop, one horse, and a couple alpacas. Now we have around 50 alpacas four large barns, a guest barn for visitors, a re-newed coop...and still one horse.
